When restoring a classic, there is always the debate between keeping the vehicle true to its roots or simply modernizing it for both comfort and performance along the way.

Even so, there are some cars that one simply can’t change from the original — they’re just worth too much. When RK Motors took on this project we’re sure that there was no debate on what to do with the ride that was in their garage.

After all, a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is much too rare to change.

In fact, the vehicle is one of only 602 ’67 Camaro Z/28s produced that year. It’s painfully rare, so we’ll admit that we are very happy that RK Motors chose not to modernize or change this beautiful muscle icon.

This was, after all, one of the very first Z/28 Camaros to ever roam the streets. The grandfather of Chevrolet performance.

Painted in the original shade of Ermine White with authentic black rally stripes and completed with a black vinyl interior, this Z/28 is a glorious sight to see!

But the wonders of this car don’t end at how it looks. The vehicles sports a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, power steering, a 302 cubic inch V8, power front disc and rear drum brakes, and all documentation to prove what it is and where it came from.

RK Motors took on this build and did a ground-up restoration on the elegant performance monster. They did an excellent job getting this Camaro back into tip-top shape, and with only approximately 28,000 miles on the odometer we’ll admit that we are quite jealous!

The price tag on this first generation Camaro is $79,000, which seems to be a steal. Whoever ends up with it will definitely be one of the happiest car enthusiasts on the planet!

Check out the video below to get a walk around of the muscle car and to hear it run. If that’s not enough, feel free to check out more of the details on the build!
