RIDE ON! A Cadillac CTS-V in the Garage

2005 Cadillac CTS-V

Luxury sedan or not, no one can deny that the Cadillac CTS-V is one hell of a car. The 2005 version put out 400 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque — and that’s when it’s just stock.

Who knows how much it could put out if some amazing car enthusiast put a little sweat (and money) into making it even more amazing. Well, LS1Tech member shadyLS6 has done just that. Today we’ll step into his garage and take a look at the fast machine.

The car really is deceptive, especially since it’s a Cadillac. Many of us still think of the Eldorado (or worse — the Cimarron) when we think of Cadillac. They’ve always been more of pope-mobiles than fast-paced sports cars. Of course, they’ve did a great job changing that when they came out with the CTS-V, and people took notice.

ShadyLS6 has added a full exhaust system and off road mid pipes from Stainless Works, a cold air intake, Specter Werkes cradle bushings, smoked side markers and fog lights, and much more. We’d love to know the horsepower that this car puts out now, but unfortunately shadyLS6 doesn’t tell us. Either way, it won’t be a small number!

Maybe a Cadillac isn’t for everyone, but the brand has certainly earned its spot in with the other high-powered cars that rule the road today.

Go drop by shadyLS6’s garage and leave some comment, browse the photography, and have a good time! We’d love to know how much horsepower this thing puts out now. Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
