RIDE ON! A 2002 SOM Camaro SS

A fast and fun car is often not something that one can simply buy. Though, of course, one could go out and purchase one if they had the dough, it really isn’t plausible for the majority of the population.

It’s for this very reason that many people have taken to buying cheaper rides and modifying them how they want them in order to get a faster, meaner, and better looking daily driver or track car. A great example of a car that has been used for this is the fourth generation Camaro, since it just has so much potential to become even more powerful and enjoyable!

LS1Tech member camarodude87 is the proud owner of one of these rides, and today we’ll be stepping inside his garage and taking a closer look at the ride that lies within!

His car is a 2002 SOM Camaro SS hardtop with a manual 6-speed transmission. It has been modified quite a bit to reach the point it’s at now. That is, to the point where is puts out over 480 horsepower!

As it sits now, the Camaro has a Hawks Stage 2 built T-56, a Ram HD clutch, a Thunder Racing T-Rex cam, a Moser 9″, and much more! This ride is a beast; we’d definitely love to see it roar down the drag strip!

Not only is this ride fast and mean, but it also looks quite good. In fact, we’d say that the ride looks great! Or maybe camarodude87 just has excellent camera skills!
