In essence, the 1977 Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee was the start of the entire live-action, explosion-heavy Transformers movie series. You guys know the story. Nerdy Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his dad pick up the $4,000 corner car dealership find, even though it seems to be a piece of junk. Next thing Witwicky knows, it’s talking to him, driving itself, and helping him pick up the girl of his dreams, Megan Fox. Then it throws him into a universal battle with alien robots that weirdly disguise themselves as American muscle cars.

Bumblebee is then reborn as the at-the-time brand new 5th-generation Camaro concept. That was nearly 10 years ago, and today, the Camaro has been through 5th-gen refreshes and Chevrolet even launched the kinda-new-but-not-really-but-also-completely 6th-gen. But Rob Schramm, a glass, mirror, and tile designer, is still stuck in the past and contracted Skepple designs to create a wrap for his facelifted 5th-generation Camaro to look like that beat up ’77 Bumblebee.

And when we say look like it, we don’t just mean the yellow paint and two black stripes. The wrap, applied by Vinyl Loft, is designed to look weather-tested, complete with worn paint and rust spots. It even has a Transformers logo head on it. Something tells us Schramm will be one of the first people in line for the next Transformers movie, The Last Knight, and for the Bumblebee spinoff. Shit, hopefully somebody just gives the man some free tickets after this.
