C6 Corvette ZR1 Cup Wheels: OEM Rolling Perfection

I’m a sucker for a C6 Corvette, especially one with the wide factory fenders and the right wheels. I don’t know, call me crazy, but I really like the OEM+ look. Sure, I love a set of aftermarket wheels, but there are some lesser known OEM alternatives that also look great. Take for example the optional C6 ZR1 Corvette Cup wheels. These split spoke rollers were a factory option and GM claimed they were five pounds lighter than the standard ZR1 rims. Although the standard split five-spoke Speedlines are said to be the lightest factory C6 Z06 rims, the bigger Cup wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear) aren’t much heavier according to this CorvetteForum.com thread.

I don’t know about you, but if I’m ever fortunate enough to own a C6 Z06, I’m getting some Cup wheels…and maybe some CCWs or Forgelines just to mix it up. Hey, a broke journo can dream, right?
