408 Trans Am
Looking someone out there that maybe can help. Building a 408 with a 239/250 at .050 .624/.595 lift cam with 11:1 compression. Car has 3:42's. 3200 stall. Trying to see if anyone out there has run 10's on a combo like this and still drive it on the street? Thanks.

My buddys ws6 with a 408. 11.17@122 with more in it with better tuning. Full street trim, 17s all around on DR's, full exhaust in the summer time heat.

Here's a run down of the motor:
Heads - AFR Mongoose 230cc / 62cc
Injectors - 60# FAST
Intake - FAST 102MM
Throttle Body - FAST 102MM
Plugs - NGK TR55
Fuel Pump - Aeromotive Stealth 340
Block - LQ9 4.03"
Cam - Comp 243/251, .624/.624, 111+1 LSA, 110 ISL
Crank - Lunati 4.00" Stroke
Pistons - JE 4.04, 12cc Dished for 11:1 compression
Rods - Lunati 6.125" H-Beam
Driveshaft - Mark Williams Accu-Bond 3 1/2" Aluminum w/ Mark Williams Yokes
Axles - Moser 30 Spline
Center - Eaton Posi
Converter - Yank 3600
Rear - KTRE 3.73 12 Bolt
Trans Cooler - B&M 24,000 with fan
Transmission - 4L60E, Built Finish Line Level 5
Car drives really good on the street and with the 3.73 gears can drive anywhere as long as gas stations are plentiful lol. Car is tuned on Premium and fires up and doesn't have any knock or pinging. I have no clue yet as to what 1/4 mile times it will run with me as I bought it in Aug and had to do some major very unexpected work but guess not everyone is honest when buying site unseen but that's OK I've made a few changes that should make my Camaro very solid and a bit quicker. Previous owner said it ran a 11.05 with a 1.58 60 foot. But transmission broke within 15 miles and had a bent Moser axle which Moser was very surprised about. So while the transmission was being built I did new Moser axles and had Mark Williams make a new Aluminum Accu-Bond driveshaft with yokes attached weighed around 15lbs very big improvement which was very cool piece when it arrived, I took out a hacked up steel driveshaft that probably weighs somewhere around 35lbs and was most likely the reason the transmission sprag broke as it was stretching the pinion yoke clips and they used two different bolts. Now I'm putting a new bearing in the 12-Bolt and doing gears but sticking with 3.73's as it will let the car pull really good in 3rd gear for 1/4 mile racing.
Goal over winter is to get kinks straightened out and have it ready for Texas TX2K17 as I will be able to cruise it on interstates and traffic no problem. I'm not looking to be a player but just want to go down and enjoy the races and awesome cars. I did have the car dyno'd just before it broke (actually transmission broke on Dynojet) and it did off the top of my head 477rwhp at 6400 I believe and had a really fat torque curve from 3200 - 6200 was above 400 lb-ft of torque and both power curves never dropped off dramatically pulls very strong to 7k.
It does have a SD tune only and so far seems to be working out pretty well but the current tune isn't nailed down perfectly yet that will have to wait till spring.
