Default 10.22@139.75mph Aust Monaro

Looks like I am the newest member of the 10 sec club , I have a 02 Monaro here in australia with a Whipple Starr Charger installed . The engine has had a little workover with a mild 228 cam , head work and a 383 crank from SQP.

Running a 4l60E that we have done a heap of work to make survive - seems to be hanging in there at this stage.

Anyway took it to the track on the weekend and reeled of a 10.22@139.75 mph before I was asked to take it home and fit a rollcage, chute and full harness.
this makes it Australia's fastes and quickest LS1 at present

dyno sheet , timeslip and video of the run are available at my website which details the stages this car has gone through is here

Great run. It looks like it has a lot more left in it if you can get that short time down.

Congrats.

not7fifteen, let's keep this constructive. The guy has a video, and timeslips that even match up right down to the R/T.

Run was only done on the weekend , you may be thinking of Matt's yellow Monaro that ran a 10.5 I think a few months ago .

This was a once only effort as the ANDRA drag racing rules over here make a chute, cage and harness mandatory at this level and it is illegal to have a cage in a street car here in Western Australia.

Here are a couple of other vids of the car

10.33 run this was the second run

testing at the shop

and the 3rd and last pass

10.22 run

So what do I need to do to get my status changed ?

Felt like it had a nine in it , was a little too cautious off the line as I didnt want to break any of the stock driveline - I cant go back now unless I put a cage and chute into it though

You try getting a 4000 lb car into the high 9's with an IRS, it aint easy. BMR has been very close with their GTO, but they are finding the weak links in the driveline the hard way. Give these car's some time, the fast ones will emerge.
