Default Best Turbo TORQUE CONVERTER

I think Im blowing threw my conveter because when i shift at 6200 the rpms never drop below 6 and seems to be slipping and ran out of gear.
I trapped 147mph yesterday but I think it can do 150 easy with less gear and a better converter

What converter should I go with?I want this one to be the last one Ill buy.

Ptc, Coan, Chance are all great and can get you a good converter set up.

My Chance works pretty well and I am happy with it but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the race style converters from PTC, Coan, or ATI.

Neil Chance makes an all aluminum billet converter...if you really want the baddest out there.

A few years ago, NC had a leg up on all the other guys. Now they have all caught up, IMO. ATI, TCI all have nice converters.

If you go with PTC (performance torque converters in alabama), I'd order from Dusty Bradford. He has been doing an awesome job at spec'ing them out for turbo setups. I absolutely love mine.

Why not a vig? I admit that the ptc is nice to drive, but so was the vig. So far in the last year zombies cars has sucked up 5K $......and so far it was still faster 5k$ ago(on the vig, with a smaller turbo even)......so it seems that hairs are being split real thin, to whats better......

Well, $750 for a Vig or $950 for a PTC, I'll take the PTC. 600-800 rpms looser stall and drives around tighter than the Vig, it's kind of a no brainer. The Vig was about perfect on the 76 turbo.

I'm up to spending $4k on the car this year ($1800 in wheels and tires) and it is still slower ET wise than a year ago, but 3MPH faster on 3psi less boost.

Vig works well, but they have to go to a 10.5" to get the holding power. I love my Vig 10.5. Its very tight driving around and flashes to ~4400 at full boost, which is nearly perfect for me.
