Default th350 and th400 same length driveshaft?

Someone I know has a driveshaft to mate a 9 inch to a th350, and I wanted to buy it to put in my th400 9" car. Same length and splines, or different?

Might be, might not be. Why don't you measure it?

th400's come with 32 spline output shafts most common with 4" tail housings.
th400's also come with 27 spline output shafts and long tail housings.
th350's come only in 27 spline output shafts, but they also have a long and short tail housing.
A lot of variations to just guess at right?

Measure everything and go from there, no one on this website can give you a yes or no answer.

same length will depend on short tail or long tail in either version, plus the fact there are long and short type yokes as well.

a vague answer... prolly not.
the th400 uses a different yoke alltogether.
if you ran a short tail 350, chances are you can get the driveshaft shortened.(cheaper of the two)
worst case, if you have a th350 long tail and a 400 short tail, youll need a new tube.

Not the same. A 400 yoke is diff spline and the case is overall diff.

Some th400's came with 27 spline just like the th350.

If the driveshaft is for a short th400 and a short th350 the yoke needs to be changed. All short th400's have 32 spline outputs.
Long th400's have both 27 and 32 spline outputs.

I don't understand the guessing game going on here, measure the damn thing, thats the answer.

length will also depend on if you are using an aftermaket yoke on the rearend, or the stocker.
couple different sizes there too.
