95 camaro v6 5speed 350 swap
ok im looking at getting a 95 camaro v6 with a 5 speed, and my goal is to put a carborated 350 in it. How hard is this swap? Im looking for a project but not one that will take me years to complete. Will a 350 even bolt into the car? Will this tranny bolt to the 350 without mods? What motor mounts do i need? how much fabrication skills will be need? Thanks any help will be appreciative.

I dont know if the mounts are the same for a 6cyl as they are for an LT1 but if you have LT1 motor mounts it will bolt right up. As far as the tranny goes I think the 4th gen t-5 will not bolt up to the 350. I used a t-5 for a third gen with a t-56 crossmember. Do a search through here, there are several posts about this stuff. The only cutting I had to do was to the upper firewall to get the distributor to fit.

Is the 4.3 v6 in it now? if so it will go in because the 4.3 is pretty much a 2 bolt main 350 with 2 less cylinders... we put a 350 in my neighbors s-10 that had a 4 cyl orginally... and the motor mounts will be the same for the 6cyl and an lt1 b/c in my car i have pretty much an lt1 block w/o reverse cooling flow and we used old 350 motor mounts and i kno the v6 and the old 350 mountes work.... the only problem i see is the tranny.. i would do research on what trannys fit what

Well, if I can't get my own car fixed up I might consider selling you my motor. You'll start with a stroked and poked 350 (389 bore/stroke) and a 700r4.
