This is a Mustang guy but he is running 10's on 18" hoosers.

I believe Mightymouse is going 8sec in big rims, not sure what size really they seem 18's ...

Just because many people aren't doing it, doesn't mean that they couldn't. They just aren't trying. Any car running 11.5 or so on a stock wheel should be able to put on an 18 with a drag radial and run pretty close to 11s if not in the 11s.
