Default What will it run now?

I respond to many of these... my turn if you want to guess. I am posting this in the 11's section if that means anything My best last time out was 12.@112 with a 1.59 and stock 3.23's. I just swapped to a 9" with 3.70's, took the spare tire out and will be taking out the rear seats and t-top holder. I want to get a couple of passes before adding the heads/cam/intake/tb... what you think?

I would love to see 11.80@115 MPH out of it!

Please stay out of the 11 sec club until you actually run 11s.

Just kidding. How much weight difference was the 10bolt to the 9inch? Also I wouldn't bother with the ttop holders and probably not the seat either. They don't weigh enough to really be a difference with or without them.

If it's cooler out then last time you ran, I'll say 11.9@113. If it's hotter then I'll say 12.1@111.

45 lbs heavier but the weight is right on the tires. It plants better and feels quicker going off the butt-o-meter. I can for sure tell it is transferring better with this setup since the nose stays up good and I can get decent WOT traction on wet roads (couldn't with the 10 bolt). I think it will go a 1.50 60' next time. I don't use the back seats and the t-top holt kind of puts things up next to my sub. The sub and amp rack will also come out and I need to yank the front sway but haven't yet. Should trim 100 lbs with all that stuff out. I can taste an 11.70 if I get the bar out!

Were you spinning before? It probably feels better because of the gear. You may weigh a few pounds less but you've effectively reduced your power that's getting to the ground. You may 60' a little better because of the gear and it may pull harder on the big end due to using more of third.

Well the weather has sucked here and I haven't made it to the track yet! This is my last week to get there before doing the heads/cam/intake... so today I went weight trimming:

T-top holders 3 lbs
Floor mats 9 lbs
Seat belt fasteners 1 lb
Seat bottoms, sun block lol and umbrella 8 lbs
Visors, hat, battery charger 3 lbs
Subwoofer/box 28 lbs
Amp rack/amp 20 lbs
Top of back seat 15 lbs
Center console junk 2 lbs
Front passenger seat 40 lbs

So today I trimmed 130 lbs and looking to yank the front sway (30 lbs?) and put the skinny wheels on (50 lbs) before Wed or Sat at the track.

My car was loaded 3620 or so without me on stock wheels. My race weight was a solid 3800 lbs. So doing the new math it looks like 210 lbs off or 3410 lbs car weight and 3625 lbs with me in it. It felt real good today with just the 130 lbs out so I can't wait!

Yea. I checked the list it says 15 lbs with the brackets so my number is off. But that list must be a little variable too because I got different weights on some of the other things too.

Your results will probably be completely weather dependent. See what you run after your new rear and weight reduction, then convert the DA back to what the DA was on your previous best pass. Then you'll know what everything was worth.

So true! So I went tonight although I sweat to death getting ready and knew conditions sucked. I went slower but kind of figured that with mid 80's temps and 90% humidity. My best with the 9" tonight was 12.2@111 MPH. My best 60' was a 1.6. I think with cool unhumid temps I can get 11's but... it would have been much easier on the 10 bolt. Sept. 18th is cam/head/intake/tb install so maybe weather will change and I can try one more time before. Good news is the 9" performed great and I didn't have to wonder will she blow.

I yanked the sway-bar yesterday and weighed it just now on a certified CAT scale and it was 3540 lbs. This is race mode with the skinny fronts and all that stuff up there out. Basically as light as it gets! I know it has the 9" in it now where it had the 10 bolt at 3620 lbs. So I'm a little confused that I took the bar out, added the drag wheels and it only dropped a net of 80 lbs on the scale. That still puts it 3775 lbs with me in it

On a better note the car is running the best it has after upping the rev-limiter so I don't tap it on the shift (like all my other runs!). I dropped the K&N and put a paper in plus firmed up the shifts to max. It runs like stink and I plan on going again Wed... temps in the low 60's! Hoping to finally hit 11's! 11's or bust LOL

I have a hard time getting motivated to do anything to my car because it ALWAYS rains out on test and tune or the da will be off the map.

Damn. I wished for a whole bunch of stuff and it didn't happen tonight. Somehow my front left tire must have gotten something in it just sitting. Was low on air! Got that fixed and first pass roasted the tires high 1.7 60'. Shift was off 1-2. Went and fixed the pressure in the rear tires and went low 1.7 12.0@113 PB. Set the low 1-2 shift of 5900 to 6150 but didn't get to make another pass due to rain. Sucks because I think the next one was a little harder leave and my normal 1.6 60's and better 1-2 should have put me 11's bolt-on with a 9". If I still had the 10 bolt 11's were there easy but I swapped too early for safety/reliablility reasons.
