Sorry for the blurry picture.

Car is a '98 Trans am M6. Full weight (only removed spare tire).
4:10 gears in stock 10-bolt.
Spec 3+ Clutch
Draglites with ET Streets out back.
Motor:
383ci
Patriot Stg 2 Heads
Small cam 234 236 596 598 on a 114 I think (can't remember exact specs right off hand)
Ported Fast 90, 92 TB. Stock 78mm maf and small lid.
Pacesetter 1 3/4" LT's
Custom offroad Y w/ 4" flowmaster merge, dumped.

Left the line at 4k rpm. Rolled out of clutch and onto gas. Hit the chip in 1 and 2 gear.

Car hasn't been retuned since it got LT's and Fast 92 setup. Seems close though. No clue on power level.

This was all at Dallas Raceway in Crandall, Texas. Temp was around 55-60 degrees or so. Nice night.

Get rid of that 78mm MAF and lid and let it breathe, you spent the money on a 90mm intake and a 92mm TB, get some use out of them.

Think a larger maf, lid and being retuned for intake would make much difference?

It should, an 85mm truck maf can be picked up cheap on the bay.

Went back this past Sunday. Weather was around 75*. Made one pass for fear of breaking the 10 bolt if I continued to thrash on it.

Changes made: Skinnies up front and underdrive pulley. Hoosier Drag Radials instead of the ET Streets. Also removed rear seats.

Went 11.35 at 121.05. 60ft was a 1.75. 1/8 mile was 7.30 at 96.8. Left the line at around 4k rolling out on clutch and onto gas a little quicker than the first trip. I was pretty happy with this since it was my only pass. I feel like 10s could be pretty close if I didn't have to baby the 10bolt. Ultimate goal is the 10s on motor, and low 10s on a 150 shot.

Swapping to a 85mm maf and lid this week, and getting the car tuned for the FAST and new maf setup.

Also going to remove my pickup truck battery (3" too long for battery tray and has to weigh 50+lbs) and remove stock catback to lose another 75lbs or so.

Great runs!

What height tires are you running & what's your shift point?

I have a 383 M6 full weight convertible (3900 with me in it) with 4.10's and 25.63" tires and I'm trapping at 6500 rpms. I'm wondering if, with all of the torque the 383 makes, a taller tire or gear change to a 3.90 wouldn't 60' better and trap at a higher speed.
