Default s-10 with 5.3 in 11's

89 stock suspension s-10 with a stock rear and slapper bars and drag radials and skinnys. It has a stock 5.3 with a 224 cam carb intake and exhaust manifolds. it has a turbo 350 trans with a 4000 nitrous converter and with a 100 shot it went a 11.58 spinning. the next pass i tore up the rear end

Damned that sucks. Stock 7.5 axles? 26 or 28 spline? mini- spool? What kind of 60 ft time were you running?

crazy ****!!! I didn't even try to run the stock rear i went 9in. right away. I got stock LS1 cam and carb set up to run 1/8 but tried the 1/4 ended up with a 11.18 @ 98mph 1.58 60ft. on motor no nitrous yet til i change gears.

it had a stock 10 bolt with 3.42's and 28 spline axles and was cutting a 1.69 60 foot on motor and went a 1.65 on the bottle spinning the whole 60. so it has a whole lot better 60 left in it. it went a 7.8 on motor but it has a big 4000 nitrous converter. the 11.58 pass was on a low bottle spinning alot, so next time it should do the job

Wow, that was scary. Glad it didn't turn out worse.

I'm in the process of building an LSX powered S10 so I'm glad you posted up. It gives me motivation.

I let off the gas at the 1/8 mile and coasted the rest of the track burping the throttle once seemed like it was taking forever..lol I went 6.90 1.58 60ft. @ 101.9mph I don't have a cage yet and didn't want the track to stop me for not having a cage

Any damage to the body? Looked like the wheel and axle came back and hit the truck after the truck stopped.
