Cool Finally hit 11's :) (vid+slip)

Well I finally hit the 11 second mark, and it felt pretty badass here is a vid and time slip of my best run that day, had a little bit of traction issues all day but managed to get this run in.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8WbDY2QSps

I was scared to launch the car really hard since its still in the stock 10bolt and stock 4l60e, not bad for a car with 227K miles.

Gratz

We had a blast out at Dallas Raceway

Head hunter got into the 12's
You got into the 11's
and I finally got into the 10's

I feel you on the not wanting to break your rear end I did the same thing and took it easy.

That why I didn't have any traction problems.

Nice run. I could taste 11s, but I know what it's like not wanting to break the rear.

Wow with the mods you have listed in you sig you should have no problems getting into the 11's

Have you done some mods to get you the new HP or did you race on a really hot day?

+1 on that too, you should be mid 11's or maybe even low 11's

Yep, best I could do with the 10 bolt was a 1.98 60'. It was an 60 degree day and only my 2nd time at the track. First time being when it was bone stock and 3 years earlier. It was the typical "slip the clutch and bog it out of the hole" technique. I just wasn't ready to risk leaving harder to avoid bogging. I was babying the hell out of it so I could make the 35 mile drive back home on the POS 10 bolt. Next month I'm ordering a MWC 9" and a slew of suspension parts, so I'll be in the 11's soon enough.

well shortblock is brand new with only like 1000 miles, Transmission has about 150K miles and 10bolt has about 200K, but i think when I install a 12 bolt and better built transmission i should be in the high 10's low 11's all motor.

I think you will be closer to 11.3 to 11.4 with what you plan on doing. This would be with full weight of course.

Now you car could come alive and get lower but that just my .02

Yea, I plan on making it a 10second car all motor. With some 3.73s, yank 4000stall, FAST intake set up,UD pulley and my skinnies .. hopefully that will get me into the high 10's

Cool..

I might try another all motor pass to see what I can do.

Sat I did a all motor pass and did a 11.60 but that was with my nitrous tune.

I need to get a built tranny and rear end too.

I'm looking to buy a Fast 92/92 right now..
