Default Another stock internal car in the 11's

11.993 still counts as 11's right? Finally hit my goal for the car. Last time I weighed the car it was 3600 with me in it, the only thing I've changed since then is took the LM1 off and put on a Magnaflow which probably gained a few pounds.

Have pretty much all of the normal bolt-on's minus an underdrive pulley. Yank SS4000 stall, 3.73's in the stock 10-bolt, and M/T ET Street Radials.

The run was at US41 or No Limit Raceway, whatever they call it these days. Wasn't sure if I was going to go because the weather looked sketchy, but tossed the tires on and made the 1 1/2 hour drive. Didn't have time to pull the sway bar off like I wanted to.

I was expecting some good DA, but it was 580 at the time of my best run. Also had to deal with a 20 MPH headwind. Spun my first two runs. Finally put some heat in the tires and ran a 12.01..... went right back around and hot lapped the thing and had my best run.

60' - 1.593
1/8 mile - 7.5551
1/8 MPH - 88.91
1/4 mile - 11.993
1/4 MPH - 110.53

Last year with better DA and the LM1 instead of the Magnaflow I was trapping high 111's - low 112 so some combo of the exhaust, DA, and headwind had me going through the traps a bit lower.

Also ran the 12.01, 12.04, and 12.14 with 1.61, 1.60, and 1.72 60'. Maybe I need to run this thing in a 12.0 class sometime.

Happy with my full weight 11 second street car. Now just need to figure out whats next, suspension work, underdrive pulley, drop some weight and see how far I can go S.I. or just toss a cam in the thing and run low 11's.

Congrats and welcome to the 11 Second SI Club.

You said you wanted to remove your sway bar was it unhooked for these runs?

No didn't touch it at all, I wasn't going to go to the track at first because it looked like rain but then at the last minute decided to toss the M/T's on and head that way. Rain held off for a few hours, although got caught in it on the way home.

When you just unhook it but leave it on, do you just unbolt it in the middle from those mounts?

Full weight, bone stock from valve covers to oil pan. A coupld of bolt-on's, a big stall and sticky tires will do wonders on these cars.

Subframe connectors, LCA's, and LCA Relocation brackets.

I'll likely toss a pulley on this winter. Maybe a torque arm.

I don't think at the current power level much would be gained from other suspension work. Pulling a sub 1.60 60 ft with your traping at is pretty much spot on. I'd try pullies first and take the sway bar off completly as you will save some weight too boot. And shed some more weight. I'm sure you already took out the spare and jack.

What do you have for wheels ? Some weld prostars would save weight and look great imo.

Pretty pumped up that it looks as if it yanked the left front, even if it's only a half inch.

Exhaust setup is 6 year old Pacesetter headers and y-pipe with an exhaust leak at the collector. Just took of LM1 and added a Magnaflow this summer. Have an electric cutout just sitting in a box, haven't tossed it on yet.

You can just unhook the ends. It will help weight transfer better. If you want to leave it on there don't mess with the mounts. But I a lot of people have removed it completely.

Oh I ran a 12.21 then added skinnys up front with a UDP and went 12.03.

Damnit I need to get a stall and drag radials...lol. I'm sick of running low 13's w/ a shitty 2.2 60' and street tires.

Yeah, I plan on getting all of the parts gathered up this winter to do heads/cam/stall sometime next year. I'll probably get a stall this winter and install it in the spring then wait on the heads and cam until later. I know it'd be easier just do to do it all at once, but I don't feel like dropping almost $3k to do it all at the same time with the parts I want. Lol.

So, I'm thinking buy stall this winter, install in the spring, gather the cam and supporting compenents next summer/fall and possibly install that the spring after, then get heads later on in 2013...we'll see how it all plays out though. Very good probability that the stall will be bought and installed by next spring though.
