Default hotcam/stall/dry shot

Went to the local crappy 1/8th mi track tonight with my daily driver SS. The hotcam was already in it when I got it..junk... 3000 stall PTC. Ls6 intake, ford green tops, longtubes. completely stock suspension, with 147,000mi on it. I had some bald 275/40 hoosier DRs on it. my cheater kit...1 cheater solenoid, -6 feed, dry nozzle. no bottle gauge, no heater, .52 jet.

I fought traction all night, ended up rolling about 40ft out before I hit the smack. Ran 7.22, 7.22, 7.29, 7.30@94-95mph. Not the greatest mph but the track is known for low mph by at least 4 slow. I was suprised it went 7.20s. seems good for 11.30s. I think 7.0s are doable with traction.

feels like a sunday drive compared to my Real Street car,

Dry shots are brutal on LS engines. I remember a few yrs. back when a buddy
of mine put his cheater selenoid in my 03 Silverado SS airbox and gave that
MAF what we termed the "Antartica treatment" to the tune of .061" jet.
Man did we take some bucks from a few ltx guys at a clocks off show.
At 5500lbs that AWD really helps. It dropped from 14.84 @ 90 to 13.11 @ 106
Hell the sixty ft. went from 2.18 down to 1.76.
Your car rips pretty darn good considering that hot stick is now like dinosaur
technology.

NOt a huge gain, but I did knock off a 7.15 last week in it as well. Still runs through the traps in 2nd gear, I dont spray ther last 100 feet bc it goes no faster than if I spray through the finish..Its just not shifting to 3rd gear fast enough and I dont have time to rebuild another 4l60 lol
