finally dipped into 11s tonight! (11/9/12)

After 3 years of owning the car, which I bought stuffed with a tRex cam, I finally put it into 11s with stock bottom end and 853 heads. (finally grew a pair a dumped it at 5.5k) Typical bolt ons, 25%upd, ls6 intake,

I have upgraded the entire suspension: QA1s (...still waiting on rears), all adjustable tubular stuff, moser 12 bolt with 4.10s, and MT ET streets. I know it's not really that impressive for some of those going faster with less, but for a 3600 lbs street car and a granny shifting mexican on a tight budget, I think it's pretty good!

ANYWAYS... this is just my request for the "11 second club" tag

Hey, so you have been sneaking up on it! Congrats.
It's a milestone, and a fun one to achieve.
I've been at this for years and years, it never gets old, and I remember all of my milestones.

Thanks guys! i appreciate the kind replies It definitely wasn't easy. Pretty much my entire club has been pushing me to just spray it into the 11s, but from what i've seen alot of people here do, i knew the car had enough to pull it off even with me not really being the best driver.

Now i'm anxious to see what i can do with some actual "go fast" mods

Congrats on the time, hitting your goal is such a great feeling isn't it??

Any vids of the passes? I'd like to see this shifting you're talking about lol. With that if you turned that 1.7x to a 1.6x and tightened up your shifts I'm sure you could be in the 11.5/6 range with a little more mph.

Ahh, it only looks easy because the car should be low 11's or better. The builder / tuner gets the credit. With it being an auto, we just get up against the stall a little, mash it and hold on. Keep it up and you'll get even faster. I respect your desire to get there without spraying it. We like all the time power too.

Yeah..., not a great vid tho. My friends were busy with all kinds of problems, i forgot i had my camera... so at the last sec i tossed someone my phone to record my last run of the night on my way to the staging lane.

soooooooo, what do I need to do to get my 11 sec group membership?

Got another PB tonight: went 11.7 @ 117 on 1.7 60ft. Did two more runs then figured out my race stars were rubbing the calipers

Anyways, I'll post up the timeslips and vids once I get them uploaded
