Default 2002 Trans Am cam only 11.49 at 116

So went up to test and tune last night, only difference from my last 11.63 run was bumping shifts up from 6100 to 6600.

60ft-1.574
330-4.683
660-7.294
Mph-94.49
1000-9.568
1320-11.490
Mph-116.49

This was launching off idle and flashing the converter, if i tried to load the converter if would just spin. I may go to a bias ply next and see if i can stall it up and get it to hook.

Cars lightened up a bit, no back seats, tubular bumper supports, no ac.

Da on that pass was about 350, i was hoping to catch some negative da late in the night but by that point i had already made about 6 passes and didnt wanna press my luck. The first time out with the car i broke a tooth on the pinion and had to limp it home, so didnt wanna do that again. Once funds are there i wanna do a s60 in it and maybe some 4.30 gears.

Just out of curiosity, what was your mph in the 1/8 and 1/4 on your old run of 11.63?

The drive for me is about 1 hr and 45 min.

Mph for my 11.63 run was 92.16 in the 1/8th and 115.59 in the 1/4.

Cam is a SNS LS2 Stage 2, 231/235 .617 .621 111+2

Thats awesome. I really like the LS6 intake / stock PP TB combo.

Stock heads?

As far as suspension goes its got lowering springs of unkown brand, with comp engineering 3 way shocks out back.

yea stock 241 heads

I think for the mph its pretty much maxed out, so unless i add more power/ drop some more weight or wait for a crazy negative da this is about as fast as it will get.

great runs man. i think the times will drop with some more tweaks and seat time. thats not much weight out either maybe 120lbs? And ta's are heavy to start with over forumla or camaros.

everyone who runs a 111 with a cammed a4 fbody needs to see this thread lol

Nice pass, nice improvement. Sounds like a bit more suspension could drop that good 60ft even more, might even find some more mph with a better 60.

Maybe some LCA's + relocates?

Also, I don't see ram air listed, so if you don't have some type of SSRA/chrs1313 or custom setup on the car, add that. You'll pick up .2 or better and also find another few mph as well, these cars(especially withs cams) crave air they are not getting on the back half of the track. So, for a quick upgrade, well worth it.

Anyone who runs 111mph with a cammed A4 needs to reevaluate where they spent their time and money.

Ya i forgot to put in my sig but the car does have a ssra kit on it. Im hoping to get the 60ft down a little more with some better tires. Id really like to see it go 11.20-11.30 with some more tuning but im not holding my breath lol. For as budget as it is im happy with it, If i really get the bug to make it faster i may just throw a shot on it and go from there.

Next goal is to get my bolt on trans am to go 11.999 which its pretty close right now and ive been eyeing procharger kits for my mach 1 so im a little scattered with projects and ideas right now.

As cliche as it is, I would trashcan those flowmaster mufflers and get a magnaflow/borla/dynomax/etc on there.

That might get you a bit more mph as well.

I thought about ditching the flowmasters but in all honesty one of my favorite things about the car is the way it sounds, its hands down the best sounding fbody ive ever heard wot is amazing.
