Default Finally in the 11's

Took the car to track a few weeks ago. Just now getting around to posting something up. I'll give a little run down on the car for guys using mobile that can't see sig.
At the time of run the mods list was as follows. Lid, P&P TB, LS6 intake, ss3600, HD2 shift kit, 1 3/4" TSP LT's, ORY, Borla, BMR sfc's, LCA's, Panhard
Tick LS2 SnS Stage 2 Cam, Fast 36lb/hr injectors, 255lph Walbro Pump, ET Streets.

(The excuses)
The car is by far not optimal. Shift points are around 6300 and really need to be at least 6600 if not higher. Probably a tenth or 2 there. 60ft could have been a bit better. Also this is a full weight street car with no weight reduction or front sway bar unhooked. (never weighed). At time of run I wasn't getting a good burn out on the stock 10bolt. Confirmed that the 10 bolt was hurting when we replaced it with a Strange 12 bolt last week.

Anyways, final was 11.97@113.41 1.73 60ft
Timeslip and video attached. Looking forward to next year and getting this thing dialed in. Hopefully get closer to my goal of a mid 11 full weight street car.

Sounds about right at full weight and 400 rwhp. What tire and wheel setup are you running?

Stock 17x9s in front and 16" z28 takeoffs in back with Et Street Dr's. I wasn't flashing the converter as hard as I probably should. Was trying not to shock the 10 bolt too hard. Launch rpm was about 1800.

Not bad at all at full weight with stock heads and shifting at 6300 rpm. Might get another 1-2 mph by shifting at 6600

Nice job man!

You definitely have more in it and our build was very similar when I was cam only. Mine was full weight, ported tb, slp lid, tsp 1 7/8. ory pipe, yank ss3600, tsp 233/239 cam, shifting at 6500rpms. With 2.73 gears and a fat tune it ran consistent 11.85-11.89 @116. With 3.42's and the tune right it ran 11.67-11.72 @116.8's-117.2's.

I found that converter ran best taking off at 1500-1600 rpms. I tried in 200 rpm increments all the way to 3500 and that's what I got my best et and trap. I think once you raise your shift points to 6500-6600rpm you'll get the et you're looking for. In 4 updates and good luck.

Made it back to track with the 12 bolt. No new PB. Car ran 12.17@112 1.75 60ft. Shift points are still the same. Found out the 1-2 shift is at 6400 and 2-3 is at 6550. I didn't expect the car to really pick up any with the new rear.
Seems the ss3600 likes to launch at about 1500. Higher launch rpm resulted in a 1.86 60ft. The car just doesn't seem to get off the line like I think it should. Got a Tunnel mount adjustable tq arm and some viking adjustable rear shocks waiting to go in. Would like to get the car in the 1.6 60ft range. I'm also kicking around the idea of some Bogarts and possibly a diet....for me and the car lol.

Your car and mine are setup very similar, and I think you can definitely pick up a few tenths. I have the same converter and found that flashing it got me my best 60ft (1.64). Do you have the front sway bar off?

Sway bar is still attached. I may unhook it next time I hit the track. Got hp tuners so I'll also start adjusting shift points also.
I'm also kicking around the idea of getting a built transmission and having the converter restalled to a 4k.

That's my track!

What hammer said. And be careful not to dial yourself out in the suspension department. Just with a front bar removed fcars are capable of much better 60's than what you pulled .

Exhaust setup could be a bit more optimal , I agree. It is what it is for now. Maybe if a upgrade to a ls2 later I'll revamp it but I just cant justify the cost atm.
Intake I will probably get a SSRA or Chrs1313 setup sometime before the end of year.

Also this is a street car that I don't drag race a lot. It sounds great and is just fun as hell to drive. Straddling a bit of both worlds. I know I'm not going to be optimal either way and leave a bit on the table. Just tweaking on what I have and keeping it full weight.

Hio, I'm in Cumberland. It's either Pittsburg or Mason. I know Mason Dixon better since I use to live in Hagerstown.
