Looking for the 11's need advice
Here is my story I have a SS camaro M6 that I just got together with a built for boost 408 stroker (9.1 compression) Ls3 heads blah blah blah that dynod 440rwhp/440tq. Moser 9" with 3.89 gears.
Suspension mods are as follows tube kmember and upper/ lower a arms, DA lower control arms/ PHB, Tunnel mount tq arm.
Running Bogart d10's with 275/50 Mickey thompson ET streets out back.
First run at the track resulted in a 13.01 @ 115 with a 2.25 60' (A bit disappointing)
So I know my downfall would be the factory Decarbon Shocks. I am budget minded and have looked into the Competition engineering Adjustable rear shocks to help get my 60's down and hopefully enough to find the 11's.
Do you guys have any experience with the shocks? I have researched on her for awhile and seems the consensus is that for the money they are great. Would anyone recommend anything else with my set up to help me get in the 11's or any other budget minded shocks that work well.
Thanks in advance everyone!

Sound like you spinning alot with that 60 ft. I would start with better tires. Also only 115 mph is off.... might need a new tune.

A good well built 408 usually traps at least 125 mph!! Its cam only cars on here trapping over 115. I would look into the tune again.. something is holding you back.

I will have to look at something my build however is ultimately set up for boost so not making near the power the average 408 makes on here. Also I will be looking to move my shift points up on the RPM range which I think will increase my MPH some.
As for tires goes I did not adjust my tire pressure any but do you guy have experience with the ET streets on what tire pressure you are normally running?

Wow that a pretty good 60 especially of factory shocks. Thanks for the advise I will see how that goes next time I can get to the track. I have heard several people complain about the ET streets with a M6 car but we will see how well I can get them to work.

They're a great tire, but you have to find the sweet spot, and that can take a few passes and can vary each trip to the track. Also, make sure you do some burnout but not overdo it.

If the savings account would stop being stubborn I would be boosted already lol. I am going to drop pressure in the et street I was running 26lbs and need to be around 18. So that with the new shocks I am hoping will get me at least deep in the 12's. May need to switch tires but will try this first.

I launched at different rpms for each of my three passes. Blew the tires off at 3,500 and did better at both 2k and 2500 but babying out of the hole made for slow 60's. So I am thinking at 18lbs of pressure some decent heat and new shocks I am going to start launching at 3k and see what the car likes.

You running front sway bar? Is so take it off. I'm running c.e. Shocks / set 50/50 / no sway bar and my car transfers great on take off! I'm Boltons/stalled tho.

I am running a front sway bar. I could disconnect it at the track but wouldn't completely remove since I drive to and from.
If weather permitting I will be testing out the new SA Strange rear shock I just installed and dropping some tire pressure this Friday. Hoping to take a half second off my 60's but that may be asking for too much. . .

Sway bar did help mine a bit. I read aaalot on handling with sway bar removed before I did it. Read horror stories and read not so bad stories. I've had mine off since beginning of season and it's not bad at all!!

Took mine off 5 years ago.
Is there a difference?
At the track she rises nice and plants the rear tires.
On the street I don't drive like Mario Andretti but I can still rip up some curvy country roads without breaking a sweat.
If you ever drove a second gen Camaro she drives a lot like that.
Try it all it will cost is 2 end links if you don't like it.

Update took the car to the track again and was battling so scorching hot/ humid weather. That being said I only ran a few passes and got a best of 12.90 with a 1.90 60 (It is getting better) the issue was my mile per hour was 8mph short each run at 107. Talked to some other drivers and they saw the same issue with their mph as I did. So they car is getting better I just need to find some more track time. Out of the gate I just ran my shocks at the recommended "drag" adjustment and tires at 20lbs so I would like more time to play around. I did finally launch at 4k which helped pick up that 60 time.
