Project Shop Rag in the 11's (almost 10) For those of you who have been following this Father/Son build, https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...car-build.html here are the results.
Here is a run down of the build.
ENGINE
LQ4 with Katec rod bolts, Melling oil pump, double roller timing set, Comp ***** thumper cam, cnc'd ls3 heads, Comp 918 springs, Vic Jr carb manifold, Proform 850 carb, MSD 6010 box, and Edlebrock headers.
TRANS
Turbo 400 with manual reverse valve body, trans brake, and a B&M ratchet shifter.
REAR END
12 bolt, with Strange axles, c-clip eliminators, spool, 4.33-1 gears
WHEELS AND TIRES
American Racing Salt Flat Specials 15x4 & 15x8 with 26" Hoosier front runners and 28-10-15 slicks.
Car weighs 3400 lbs with fat boy Dad driving.
Best time at LS Fest this year. First time ever on the track with too much timing and really fat jetting. Car 3148 in the left lane.
The Shop Rag from So-ILL Speed and Sound, Carlinville, IL.
So close to the Ten's. Car 567 in the left lane at St Louis. Second time we had the car on the track....
We are regrouping for next year with some rear 4-link upgrades in an effort to launch at 4500 RPM and get well into the 10's. When we launch at 3500, it wants to squirm to the right a little.
