aright so i went to the track today 80 degrees and was only able to get a 2.1xx 60 foot but my traps were 12.1xx at 116mph i swear it should hit 11s but i was also missing fourth ,kinda nervous first time. car makes right under 400 at the wheels . i think if i had a rearend and i could actually launch id be like 11.6-11.5 that what my tuner tells me, maybe a 4.10. imput much appreciated

well first lets start off with what kind of car, the year, model, and whats done to the car. without that we cannot tell you what potential the car has. im guess with that 60ft time you dont have a tire. get a tire (mt et street radial) and youll be in the 11s

Judging by his SN I say he has a 01' SS. Proably with a cam, headers, lid, and o/r Y. 116mph is enough for an 11 sec pass. Work on that 60ft and you should be in the solid 11.80's depending on the driver ability. What kind of tires? -Mark

sorry bout that, yes it is cammed and all that other stuff and i am on a tire m/t et and was running them at 20 psi. and i either was bogging of the line from not going hard enough (due to the stock rear end) or dumping it to low and spinning. what do u think would be the highest rpm to launch at with a stock ten bolt, and should i let more air out of my tires. thanx

Well its kinda like a double edged sword. If you don't launch high enough, you'll bog. But if you launch high you might blow the rear. With ET streets they should wrinkle the sidewall a little so the hit on the rear won't be as bad. I'd try to lower the psi to 14-16psi depending on the track prep. But be careful, if it hooks....... you have AAA right? -Mark
