Default 1.575 60ft=11.314@124.22mph@ Capital today

Well had alot of fun today at the Corvette day. The track prep seemed decent. The only hold back was lack of water in the burnout box and spiratic location of starting the burnout. The car wanted to kick out alot cause you are burning out up hill slightly. I was able to meet alot of fellow forum members and even the legend "RANGER" I didnt get to see how his pass's went... i'm sure they went nicely as usual. Well let me post up what the car ran. Not what i wanted but atleast a new best. I wanted low 11.2's at 125-126mph range was the goal. I fell short though.

1st PASS-track feeler
60ft-1.683
330ft-4.857
1/8th-7.431
1/8th-96.42mph
1000ft-9.635
1/4mi-11.461
1/4mi-125.27mph

2nd PASS
60ft-1.624
330ft-4.772
1/8th-7.333
1/8th-97.01mph
1000ft-9.537
1/4mi-11.363
1/4mi-125.32mph

3rd PASS
60ft-1.614
330ft-4.752
1/8th-7.331
1/8th-97.41mph
1000ft-9.515
1/4mi-11.339
1/4mi-125.35mph

4th PASS---NEW BEST EVERYTHING but MPH
60ft-1.575
330ft-4.703
1/8th-7.265
1/8th-96.66mph
1000ft-9.483
1/4mi-11.314
1/4mi-124.22mph

I'll figure out the DA then. I heard it was 600+DA on my 1st pass at 68deg's and then the temps crept up to 70-71deg's most of the day and a slight headwind to cross wind. Not sure how they figure the track is 200ft above sea level when you have to drive up a rather steep hill to get to the track but thats what is stated. I'm sure once i get the 60ft down to 1.50 range and some track days in the 50* days I'll see a 11.1x range hopefully.

Good numberS! What kind of tires are you using? Have you upgraded your tranny/rear components?

Sorry for the delay I thought I clicked to have emails if someone posted in all my threads. Somehowe missed this one.

First thanks.
second-tires ET streets 26x11.5x16s in the pics in my sig you can see the rims/tires I'm running possibly.
Third-Rear is 4.10 rear with Hardened driverside outputshaft, RPM billet Diff Cover with 2 rear to tranny support rods, plus I have the DTE trans/diff brace on aswell minus the cross bars at the top due to RPM supports. I have that rear braced like its fortknox. Only wish it was 3.90's now and hardened shafts on both sides.

Info on the runs. Tire pressure at 14psi hot then down to 13 psi hot on last pass. Long burnout for first pass, and less of a burn out on each consecutive run pending traction. NO line loc yet but need one. Launch at 5,000rpm first pass, 5500rpm 2nd and the rest at approx 6,000rpms with a quick release of the clutch (NOT A DUMP) and roll into the gas very quickly almost to out RPM the clutch/rear to keep from a bog. I had a person watchin and it seemed I was hittting hard on the launch but would roll out about 3ft and spin slightly for about 1 car length on most passes. Dont want to dead hook though or wheel hop OUCH!

My best MPH has been 126.22mph with a 11.4 pass at Cecil on a not so cold nite which was weird.

Looking for cooler weather, going to change the front o2sensors, clean the maf electrodes, I run Torco in each tank at the track, change clutch fluid each time before the track, run the car to approx 1/4 tank once i get to the track or slightly above. I have to raise the car up more again still lightly hitting the rear quarters on the hard launches.
