New Best, I'm In The Club
I went out on Sat. morning (nice and cool) and ended up with new bests in all areas:
Video of 11.72 run:
http://media.putfile.com/Milan-Dragway-91507-1172
Video Run Above:
60' = 1.64
330 = 4.79
1/8 ET = 7.46
1/8 MPH = 92.23
1000' = 9.77
1000 MPH = 107.67
1/4 = 11.72
1/4 MPH = 116.24
Second Run:
60' = 1.66
330 = 4.81
1/8 ET = 7.48
1/8 MPH = 92.22
1000' = 9.79
1000 MPH = 105.65
1/4 = 11.74
1/4 MPH = 114.87
Best Run:
60' = 1.54 (pinned me back in my seat, first time flashing converter at the track.)
330 = 4.69
1/8 ET = 7.38
1/8 MPH = 91.27
1000' = 9.72
1000 MPH = 106.66
1/4 = 11.68
1/4 MPH = 113.94
All these runs were with the car shifting at 6,175. I think if I bump the shifts up to 6,450 the car could run 11.4-11.5.
A big thanks to Thunder Racing for making a killer little cam 224/224/563 114, to MT for making great ET Streets and to Sean at C.A.R.S for a great job of tuning the car just right.

Holy 60 ft time ENVY drool drool.
Nice meeting you at Milan Bill. I had no idea your car was that quick. Then again what do I know, I haven't cracked the 2.0 60 yet. Congrats on your 60 and ET.

Thanks, it was nice meeting you too. I agree on the 60', Kick *** feeling to hit the 1.5s. The car now seems to run in the 1.5s most of the time now. It sure does feel nice.
Sorry you didn't have better luck on the 60's. It seemed to be everyone with Nittos were having a hard time hooking. I will never own anything but MT ET Streets now.... Plain and simple they hook.

Flashing the converter simply means you don't foot brake your RPMs up on launch. You sit at idle at the lights and just hammer the the car from an idle. When you foot brake your rpms up off the line with a stall you aren't getting the full benefit of the converter. It just hits harder from an idle.
Some people say they have great luck with bringing there RPMs up at the line. I have found that I knock off an extra 10th + with flashing the converter rather than foot braking. Foot braking does take some of the shock off your drivetrain. So, if you are running a bigger converter and stock driveshaft or stock 10 bolt rearend you may want to foot brake the car to help prevent breaking parts.
By the way, what tires are you running?
Good Luck.

Yeah I put a 1.56 down w/ my car with ET Drags and obviously they do a good job of hooking as well, also on completely stock suspension and 10 bolt still. I find I do better stallin it up to about 3K or 3500,...also have a big stall....it flashes at 5200.

Is your car parked for the year?

My dad will get it right. He says it feels great with the torque management off. I think I get the car all next weekend.
My car is parked and sleeping. Should have that new LG blower cam soon. I wanna be in the 10 Second Club.
What are you driving through the winter?
