Default Got that 11

Finally broke into the 11's. Just barely, but got it. Specs on the car, 2005 M6 GTO, FTI Street Sweeper II cam (236 240 .630 .630 111LSA), Kooks catted LTs, Spec 3, New Era "CAI", MT ET Street radials, stock gears, and on a diet. Car weighs 3685 with me in it, (yeah I'm a skinny little ****).

Went to MIR Monday for a track rental, ran about 10 passes. Track prep was fair. Laid this run down at 1321 in the afternoon.

60'....... 1.756
1/8....... 7.774 @ 92.18
1/4....... 11.996 @ 117.00

Followed it up with a 12.004 and a 12.046. Super happy about how the car ran, now its time for another new clutch!

Congrats! I am heading down to Atco, NJ on the 10th and am hoping for that magical run, but we'll see. What kind of weight reduction have you done? That's nice and light for a GTO.

Light weight skid plate, y-brace out from under the car(those crazy Aussie's put hitches there), pulled out the gas tank brace in the trunk and all of the mounting hardware for it, all the heat shields for the exhaust are gone, and all the **** out of the trunk. Also, as most know, the Kooks LTs are very light, even with the cats. The Spintech cat back also cut out about 35 pounds. I think that's it. If I remember more I'll post up. Oh yeah, I still had all the seats in it.

Wow, sounds like a fun ride. I know for a fact that the weight is the only thing holding my brother back from buying a newer GTO, so maybe this thread can change his mind, haha.

Nice runs

Weighed my car at E-town once 3575 with me in it... Same weight mods as above but the rear seats were out .. A 1/4 tank of gas and some 15" Weld draglite rear rims..

Right now the biggest thing that I could do to lose more weight is get some light weight rims. However, I think I will keep what I have, for now. Momma won't let me build a forged 402 and buy new wheels. She will let me narrow two stock 17"s and widen two more! 3" wide fronts, 9.5" wide rears!
