Default In the 11s now (Pics and Vids)

Went out to the track today for one last time to see if I could finally get some good passes in with the new tune and injectors. It turned out to be my best times ever and I was very pleased looks like its time for a change under my name here are the times.

1.67 60'
7.53 1/8
11.82 1/4
114.93 mph

2nd pass
1.64 60'
7.50 1/8
11.80 1/4
114.2 mph

13rd pass
1.67 60'
7.48 1/8
11.73 1/4
115.97 mph

I was very happy with the way the car ran and I feel with a cooler day (it was about 75 out but no humidity) I could defiantly hit some solid mid 11s. Now I'm anxious to she what it'll do with some gears in a rear and some suspension.

unfortunatly I don't I installed the H/C/I all at the same time and I've always had quirks and issues with the car running, I've been H/C for 2 years and just now hit 11s.

I think I'll see some considerable improvements with gears but I'm gonna stay 3.73 because its my DD and I wanna hit it with a 150 shot soon.

Keep us posted on the 3.73 gear track times, I interested in going to a 3.73 myself.

Will do but it won't be for a while as a 9" and suspension work is my winter project, hoping to hit 11.4 next spring in some cool weather though so we'll see.

do you have 2.73 gears? I ran 11.74 a month ago in my MS3 cam only car w/ a 4000 stall and 3.73 gears, ...i'd say after u switch gears you should be well past a 11.4 but thats just sizing your car up to mine too, who knows honestly. Congrats on a good run though

No i have 3.23 gears right now, what kind of mph did you turn on that pass? as for the gains I'm trying to be sorta conservative so that I'm not disappointed if it doesn't run as well.

MPH was 113.98 for that pass,.... 60' time was 1.56. Maybe you just need a little bit more seat time and cooler weather, maybe also to work out a few bugs that may be prohibiting you from a few tenths. I say that b/c the very week before i made that pass at the track, my best pass was a 12.02,....so over the next week i changed the plugs and took the AC belt off, dropped me down 3 tenths. My next step was to take the air filter out if I still didn't get down to the 11s, but i did,....so i'll do it next time and hope for 11.5's in cooler weather and really hope not to break.

Well I know I'm not the best driver so for certain seat time and cooler weather would help. I probably wouldn't remove my ac belt though as I want the car to run as close to it is on the street as possible, thats why its stock weight down to the jack and spare. Also this was the first time out when my car ran even close to 11s and I only made 4 passes so as the car sits I know it can do much better.

Just got back from weighing my car on a truck scale, seeing as its full weight I was curious how heavy it really was. Car is a 98 trans am .

3500lbs without driver and 3680 with driver, this was with just over a 1/4 tank of gas.

Tires are 255 Mickey Thompson Drag radials and the car is all stock suspension aside from SFCs.
