Default LSX376 Power Potential...

What do you guys think the true power potential of the new LSX376 GM crate engine would be with a supercharger, nitrous, etc... Just estimates. I know there are many many different factors involved in trying to estimate the power potential of an engine, but I just wanted to get a ballpark figure.

How much boost would you be able to run with the LSX376 though since the compression ratio is 10.7:1? What would you guys recommend with this engine a blower or nitrous?

The reason I ask the question about this particular crate engine from GM is that it is the standard deck LSX bowtie block which of course you would run it in its "stock" configuration of 376ci which would of course make more than enough power, but at some point in the future I would be able to tear the engine apart down to the bare block and have it bored out to clean the cylinders and add a stroker crank if I wanted to increase the cubic inches. Does that make sense to you guys? Buy this one and it has the room to grow if need be down the road. Just me trying to think ahead.

I would just look at what the new Corvette and Camaro SS are making for HP w/ a supercharger or NOS.

Thanks for the idea man...I didn't even think of that. I see that the new 2010 Camaro SS's are pushing over 550hp to the wheels with the Magnuson TVS2300 blower pushing only 6 to 8psi. Has anybody heard what the final cost is going to be on the LSX376?

500-1,800 hp.

Just depends on what you use.

Yeah, you can rebuild that thing 10 times to bigger and bigger engines if you want to.

What kind of torque numbers do you think a jack-shaft TVS2300 make on the LSX376? Obviously since it's a 4680lb truck I'm more interested in torque than sheer horsepower. Thanks guys!
