Default MAF causing shifting problems???

2001 SS A4.

I have an SLP MAF on my car with stock tuning. My car hasn't been downshifting properly when I floor it in 3rd and 4th gear (4l60e)

Could the MAF be causing this problem? I was thinking of buying a stock MAF.

What other problems could be causing my car to not downshift right??
Assuming that it's not an internal tranny problem, what else could it be??

Thanks!

i just had the same problem... mine a4 would not hit 6k it will shift too early in the rpm range and downshifting took a wile also i had to manually shift when i wanted to race...
problem was the tps actually went to cunningham motorsports and they deleted the code it was throwing off and not its all fixed and feels great.

did they replace the TPS???

was your car not downshifting when you nailed it going anywhere between 40-70mph??

Mine is fine from a dead stop, but doesn't kick down enough when doing a rolling punch
