Default Dipped into the 12's with my cammed LT1

Finally was able to make some shakedown passes with the car since I installed the new opti. I was able to get one solid run, and the other resulted in massive wheel spin and 2.6 60ft's . I've never driven a 6-speed so my times weren't bad for my 1st time bangin gears.

Mods:
cc306 + full bolt-ons and weight reduction on street tires.

1st pass:

launched at 1900rpm, bogged a little, hit the limiter in 2nd, and short shifted into 3rd. <-----Im a rook!!!

60ft...... 2.0
1/8th.... 8.37@88.5mph
1/4mi.... 12.7@114mph

Should pick up just a little more mph once I get the shifting down right, and some misc mods Im waiting on. Not too bad for a newb I think.

Nice pass and with that mph you should run low 12s. More seat time and you'll get there. Good luck. How much weight reduction have you done?

Im hoping to pull similar times to yours, but I still have ways to go. Need to get a miss taken car of and a few more little mods. Weight reduction consists of removed:

frt/rear bumper supports (90lbs for both)
a/c and all components (100lbs I think)
all stereo equipment (20lbs for all speakers and head unit)
rear seats and seat belt accessories (25lbs?)
under carpet insulation (10lbs?)
BMR K-member (30lbs?)

Totals to about 275lbs of weight reduction from 3400lbs = 31xxlbs (estimated)

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:33 PM.
