Default i want to hit 12's

hey everyone, im new to the site and just wanted to see what would be the easiest way to get in the 12's. its 100% stock.but i have 17x9.5 front 17x11 rear zr1 style rims on the way,i think i want the 315/35/17 nitto d/r's.can i get some oppinons on those tires?

Get some 315 Micky Thompson on the rear and there are your high 12's

If you can launch it and stick you should be there or at least pretty close .Start with the basics :traction , Lid , Cat back/exhaust ,and a tune. I have the nitto 315 D/R's on my A4 w/ 373's . They need some heat to work . So far ,so good . We'll see how the do with the Yank 4K stall

Ok.but what I don't get is my old car was a 2000 trans am.it had slp ram air,slp headers,b&m short throw shifter,spec stage 3 clutch,17x11's with 275 some kind of street tire.torque arm,lower control arms.but i could only pull a 13.7? Idk why

What was your 60 ft ?? D/A ? My A4 - Z with only 273's ,C/b and a lid went 13.4 @ 105 mph

Driver mod.....and also could be in your shifting habits. You may not be hitting optimal shift points for the 1/4 mile...also power-shifting in the 1/4 could save you a little time as well if you know how to do it... this is why stalled auto's dominate the 1/4 mile.....
