Default First runs with bolton's......

Ran my wifes 98 A4 Z and went 12.7 at 109.5. Would this be about the norm for the mods done? Mods are as follows,

Madtuner mail order tune
SLP lid
LS6 Intake
42.5 lb/hr Ford Injectors
Longtubes
ORY, no cats
Single 3" exhaust
UMI adj. torquearm set at -2*
4.10's
Skinny's up front
275 60 15 DR out back on draglites.

Everything else is stock GM. Car has 200k on it. Seems to me it should've went at least .50's? Maybe its just me. This is our first LS car and I'm used to my turbo buicks. Any input would be appreciated!

Also would like to see the 60'.

You absolutely have to stall it to take advantage of that auto.

Best I could get it to 60' was a 1.90 with the lousy stock convertor. Not sure what the DA was that day, but I can tell you temps were around 62*.

why the hell does that car have 42lb injectors? i hope the tune is corrected for that.

times seem about right, but i'd expect more from those 410s...both 60' and trap. you're right about it going 50s, i'd guess the answer lies within a real tune.

I put the 42's and a racetronix pump in for a NOS plate kit the car now has, just haven't used it yet. I was expecting a bit more also and I am also suspecting the mail order tune. I'd really like to go 12.50's before I start using the spray.

I'd work on the suspenion. You car has 200k on it. Get some lower control arms and some subframe connectors. The stock converter isnt helping your short times. With a 109 trap speed and 200k on the motor Id say your making good power considering. a 1.8 60ft would get your 12.5... With a 3600 stall and the trans holding up ( does that have 200k also) You should be low mid low 12's with a 109 trap speed.

Yeah, the whole car has 200k on it, and the trans is doing good considering. I agree on the convertor, just not 100% sure what I am gonna put in there yet as I am looking to do a cam and convertor at the same time. So the 28" tall tire may be slowing me down? I figured they would be a good match with the 410's and the auto?

lower control arms with the brackets will get you a 1.8 60ft cause the power is there.now with a stall maybe even lower 60ft and e.t times

I ran 8.40 84 mph with a 3000 stall with a lid and full exhaust. No tune and 2.73s. Trapped 85 before the stall. This is on 28"s which hurt badly. You don't need 42s for a plate kit. I run a 125 on the stock pump and injectors. Car traps 94 in the 8th and 123 in the quarter. 11.50 on the stock stall gear with the lid and exhaust.

Sounds pretty much bang on to what we ran: https://ls1tech.com/forums/12-second...-bolt-ons.html

Yes, the taller sticky tires are robbing you of some ET & MPH but not too much. You should be pleased with the minimal investment.

The funny thing is this ain't no Turbo Regal... it is better in some ways!
