Default Who's Ran 12's Stock Or With DR Tires Only

Has anyone with a stock LS1 Trans Am or Camaro with DR tires only or with stock tires made it in the 12's?

I've seen this Camaro which ran 12.69 @ 110 mph with M/T tires only...

Evan Smith ran a 12.8 or 12.9 with a stone stock '98 M6 Z28, that was actually in a GMHTP article a while ago I believe.

I'd say that you need to be a pretty killer driver to get 12's out of these cars. Average times that you see from stock ones are usually low to mid 13's.

Yes, he did both actually.
He ran a 12.8 in a '98 or '99 manual Z28 back in 1999 and years later ran a 12.9 in a fully loaded 2001 or 2002 manual SS, on a hot summer day and with almost a full tank of gas no less.
Others have gone 12.9s and even a couple 12.8s bone stock as well.
I never ran my Z28 in pure stock trim but did go 12.8s on stock tires with only a lid/K&N, thermostat and Hypertech programmer (which probably hurt more than helped LOL).

And when I refer to cars being bone stock I do mean pure showroom bone stock, stock air box, stock tires and all.
Going by the strictest definition, a lid and/or drag radials is not 'stock'.

12.35 consecutive runs. 1/4 tank of gas, no spare or jack, full race weight other than that with slicks. Moser 9" and ported throttle body is about it. No motor mods at all.

Very nice.
What gears were in the 9" at the time?
