nice start ! you have the mods , trap , and 60 foot to flirt with 11's stock internals if you can find a day with much better da , what was the weather/where do you race?

It was at Bremerton raceway in Bremerton Washington, about 75 degrees about 300 foot elevation, on a great track. what would you suggest next for mods?

I wouldn't touch it till you get some passes this fall in , start playing with a da calculator , several online , I use drag times because you can plug in your track and it will automatically set your elevation and show you expected temp , humidity , and barometric pressure for every upcoming hour at your track so all the data is there to estimate da.

your track elevation is 152 ft according to that calculator , go when its in the 50's or colder on a clear day/night with high barometric pressure and I bet your 12.1 @113 or so just with better weather.... from there between making sure your car is fully cooled off before making any passes , cool downs between passes , a little track prep like airing up front tires , making sure fuel tank is 1/4 to 1/3 , removing any loose stuff you have in car , jack ,spare , front sway bar etc... shallow stage , all the little tricks you will be flirting with 11's.

As for more mods You did mention no tune if you have someone reputable tune it that will help close the gap on 11's , as far as other mods if you want to get 11's stock internal , ported tb , a lower airbox to feed your lid like chris 1313 makes , underdrive pulley , truck coil upgrade , you didn't mention exhaust past headers , true duals would be nice or cutout if your running ory/single exhaust right after the headers to be able to open it up at the track. Maybe take advantage of your one time free restall ? up to 4K if you think the 3600 isn't loose at all 400 rpm will probably still be palatable to you especially where you have 411's.

After that stuff cam and heads are usually the next things people go for but you watch the guys that hit 11's stock internals they learn so much about paying attention to details through that process when they do add cam or heads and cam they usually get real good gains from it because they already understand their car - low/mid 11's cam only , flirting with cracking 10's heads cam are pretty typical for 11 sec stock internals guys when they take the next steps.

Default mods

thanks for the info, that's roughly the way im going, love the driveability of the stock cam, also going to a 9 in rear this winter (just don't want to wait for the 7.5 to explode) and going to go with all the upgrades back there, going to port the throttle body step up to a 85mm air meter and a tune, that should get me in the 11s

if someone told me they trapped 114 in an a4 z28 with a 1.6 60 foot I would normally be saying congrats on cracking 11's , really surprised you didn't crack 11's usually people stuck bottom 12's either don't have the trap or don't have the 60 foot to make it - you have both??

Congrats man i think with a few more runs and a little cooler weather you got it. Its amazing how well these cars run with simple bolt ons. Im going for high 11's with bolt ons also went 12.37 last week i think with another 15-20 hp and a little more weight of out it i can hit my goals.

I know its weird, im going to look at my shift points (I have a diablo predator now) I have raised the shift points before last time out (to 6200 rpm) slightly and the rev limiter to 6400 maybe that is the cause of no 11 second et, because I agree that with a 114 mph trap speed and 1.683 60 ft I should be in the elevens , maybe its just laying down after 6000 rpm and that is causing it to slow????Do you know anything I can do with the predator to increase performance ? A friend of mine gave it to me, I know it what it can do is very limited.

What's the RPM through the traps?

Get yourself a SSRA, FTRA or chrs1313 ram air and it'll run 11's.

I have a Diablo tune on mine as well. Nearly same setup, less headers, and did a PB of 12.25 @ 112.
