Yeah the stall leaves a lot on the table. Once I get a second car it will be easier to tear the car down and wait for parts. I'm not sure if my trans cooler can fit behind the fog light. I did find one of my lines was loose and leaking. I'm glad I caught that!

Finished the ram air setup!

This is how it looks without the plate to seal it off.

Looks factory right!

Ended up costing me $70. I didn't have to move my trans cooler but I did cut away part of the hood release bracket. I already had the bumper support and reservoir removed there is a ton of room in the front end. It feels pretty peppy! I may get a dyno tune next and see what happens.

Well done.

Sealing it off will help quite a bit at speed but anything is better than nothing.

Love to see your results with just that addition since your car is pretty consistent.

I sealed it off with a cardboard plate temporarily until a make a metal one. I just ran of of time before Mothers Day. Looks crappy but it will work for now!

Nice! Mine will probably be a hacked up version of that with black plastidip!

Made a removable plate

Almost done. Just need some foam insulation tape to seal it off.

Cut and plastidipped

I ended up running the same times and trap speed. The air box would always be full of dirt. I pulled it all out and just ran a big hole where the air filter is. The radiator support is cut the width of the air filter. It feels just as good. The tubes blocked a lot of air flow to the radiator and trans cooler. I also couldn't run the plastic shrouding directing air to the radiator. I picked up a 2009 6.0 LY6 with rectangular port 823 heads off of another project. I'm starting to get a little lifter tick with 226k miles on the original engine. I'm still daily driving it but once I get a second car it will be go time!

You will pick up min of 2mph with my kit...not sure why you trapped the same with sux2bu as that is a decent setup...maybe DA conditions were a lot worse the second time or it is not sealed up completely

Remember the front stock slit needs to be sealed up also...so all air comes from underneath the car

I agree, find it completely odd that it wouldn't change with this setup.

If the air deflector was removed, maybe it was causing the coolant temp to spike and it was pulling power? Maybe negating the increased airflow to the intake? Something like that or very bad DA that day.

I don't know, just weird.

Lid, smooth bellow, ported TB, LS6 intake, 1 3/4 headers, 3' y-pipe, 160 stat, dyno tuned. 226k miles now. Nothing fancy at all.
