It's all in the 60'. Most crucial part of the run.

Another thing is my track is only 59 ft above sea level.

Agreed. My weld on sfc's and chromoly torque make a big difference in the launch. I've got a bmr anti roll bar to put on when I order my s60 and coilovers. My plan is to build the suspension first, then engine.

That's already in the plan, but I'll still give you credit.

26" et streets on stock snowflake rims. Hopefully I'll have a rear end soon with either 3.90 or 4.10 gears.

It's streetable. It locks at 55 so it cruises down the hwy like a stocker. It doesn't do well in the rain with the et streets, but I knew that already. Mine is not a daily driver, it's a fair weather play toy, with a focus on drag strips.

Very encouraging path. Just getting started myself. One strip to the drag strip for me with my stock car(13.6 et) and I have since purchased LS6 intake, LT's, Hooker true duals and SSRA. This stuff is a little bit addictive.

It's is. I decided with this build to do chassis and drive train first, then engine. All I lack now is the rear end, but it's nice to know my drivetrain and chassis can handle the power I plan to put with it.

A lot has changed since my 12.29 run:
Viking coilovers all 4 wheels
Bmr upper and lower control arms up front
Weld draglite skinnies
Draglites for the rear
Wilwood drag brakes all 4 wheels
ABS delete and line lock
BMR xtreme anti roll bar
Strange chromoly driveshaft
Strange S60 with 4.10s

I hope the track is open this weekend to see what she can do.

What spring height and weight on the rear Vikings? What do you have your rear compression and rebound set at? Thanks!

Spring height is close to 1" lower than stock, which is around 3 1/2" from the bottom thread to the locking nut. Weight is the standard 150 lbs for rears. Compression is 1 and rebound is 6.

So your rear springs are 12x150 and you have them set to squat? I'm asking because I have new rear Vikings 14x175 (as spec'd by MWC) and thinking about where to start with the settings.

Yes, 150 lb springs. And set to squat heavy! 0 is the loosest setting, so I just have the compression set at 1. When I get to the track I can adjust if needed, since there easily accessible. I did take it out on the street and it definitely squats, but didn't scrub tires.

I also set up my pinion angle and lower control arm angles right, so shock settings will be about all I need to worry about at the track.

No problem asking, I ask questions too. The more I learn the better!

All the suspension paid off. 11.98 at 110 mph! Very happy for a full weight car with stock motor!
