Default Stuck in 12s....

So here's the car.

2000 Camaro z28 A4 100k miles

Near stock weight. I removed the rear seats and jack/spare. But this run I had my tools in the trunk and that bag weighs around 25lbs or so.

Ls1 SBE
TSP 228R 114LSA
Stock 243s (milled just to get a smooth finish)
Ls6 intake
Slp lid/bellow
QTP LTs
QTP y pipe
Cut out
Stock A4 w/ 3200 north Texas converter
Stock 10 bolt 323s
LcA relocation brackets
Eibach lowering springs

Dyno tuned with those mods minus the heads 365rwhp. Recently added those heads plus injectors and retuned. The AFR is around 12.5 to 12.8.

My last run was in 2000+ DA on hot FL summer night. Intake air temps were above 120* while staging.

Just for comparison my best on street tires, bolt ons was 13.2. @ 106. Added a 3200 stall and drag radials then pulled a 12.9 @ 107mph.

My best pass so far
60' 1.87
1/8 8.2x
1/4 12.6 @ 111

I definitely need more seat time since my last pass is where I actually got a decent launch. I daily drive this car but really am looking for opinions on what to change with my set up.
I know gears and more stall would help a lot. But I'm trying to holding out on both of those until something breaks. I'm starting to think maybe the tune but not sure. Any input would be great! I'm getting pissed I keep adding parts and my 1/4 Time isn't going anywhere. Please keep your boasting for another thread...... Yes I know bolt on cars have reached deep into 12s. I'm looking for solutions! I think this car should run faster but with the mods listed and some better air I believe it would be low 12s as is. What do You guys think?

So as you're adding these mods it's being re-tuned by the same person?

Yes it has. I bought the car with bolts ons on it already and supposedly tuned by a shop local here in west palm beach. Then I had pcmforless make changes for the stall. Then my current tuner did the tune for the cam then heads a few months later.

if it were my car & your sure the tune is accurate. i'd look into adding welded SFC's & LCA's for traction. then maybe a cold air intake. with your cam / heads / stall i cant believe your not near 12 flat. just my one cent. BMR is located near tampa i think , give em a call.

I'm not positive the tunes spot on? I wish I had someone to look it over. My AFR is good since I have a wideband but I'm no pro at tuning. I have HPtuners but only tinker with small changes. Yea I need to upgrade suspension for sure.

I was going to say more stall... I dont think you can ever have enough stall...lol

But since you are wanting to hold off on that... and If this is your daily driver I would recommend doing some of the basic weight reduction mods the next time you go to the track.

I know u said u pulled the backseats and spare, but these simple things should also free up some weight and are not too time consuming:

Spare Tire
Backseats
Passenger Seat
Both Door Panels
Speakers (Front and Back)
Radio
Front Sway Bar
Wiper Fluid Reservoir
Visors
Glove Box

Also if you aren't already, try making a few runs with say a quarter tank of gas. Gas weighs 6 pounds a gallon if i remember correctly. So from a full tank (roughly 94-96lbs) to a quarter tank (roughly 24 lbs) saves weight as well.

Every little bit helps.

Good Luck!

Are you spinning out of the hole? Heat soak and D/A aren't helping. Can you data log?

If it were me, I'd address the wheel spin first. I'm sure you've seen plenty of threads on that. I'd also log for pulled timing to see if there's anything there maybe caused by heat soak. (I'm no tuner.) Also check basics like plugs, wires, filters, etc. I was expecting your trap speed to be higher.

a cam and a conservative stall is a poor match - usually slower than stock cam/proper stall.

coupled with poor da and wheelspin leaves plenty of room for you to improve from where you are at so you will get quicker....

19 psi sounds high depending on what dr you are on especially if measured before heating them up , I always re check psi on the return road after first pass to set them properly with a bleed off style guage.

I'm running toyo TQ drag radials. What stall is recommended? If I change converters I'm thinking a 4K
