your only running 4psi of boost, thats why. Add gears to your car, and a lid, along with headers, and bump up the psi, that should get you into the 11's I'd say

We need a lot more information if you're looking for a serious answer.

- What was the other guy's trap speed?
- Why are you only running 4psi?
- Is your car tuned?
- Who tuned it?
- What's the A/F ratio?
- How much timing?
- What tires is he running?
- How much power are you making?
- etc, etc, etc...

Personally, it sounds like your car is not setup to run well at the track.
Just slapping a turbo on it isn't going to make it fast. You're definitely not
going to get a good ET on bald *** street tires.

Exactly what I mean. You sound inexperienced. No offense of course.
Mid 12's are a piece of cake for any year LS1 with minor bolt ons
and tires.

first of all, get a tune, get the standard 5lbs of boost, get new injectors as you WILL NEED INJECTORS FOR THE STS. thats probably why your only running 4lbs of boost, as you are probably running out of fuel.

were you spinning off of the line?

Hell man, my car before my bolt ons ran a best of a 13.0 @110 with a 2.1 sixty foot....i'm about to go to the Fayetteville 1/4 mile this sunday and get in the 12's

if you have stock exhaust your turbo is holding you up I would believe, go with 3-3.5 pipe and exhaust

you ran the same as him because of the 60ft- guaranteed. if he trapped 113 i'd be very surprised, and be thinking he was lying about his mods or is an amazing driver with a amazingly running ls1.

get tires/exhaust/fuel/tune and the car will be different animal. hell- n/a the ls1's wake up a ton with the above mods i cannot imagine how much of a difference a fi one will. then go for the torque converter- a nice low stall like 3200 or so. no need for gears at all imho.

Yeah, if the other guy's an auto too, intake/exhaust/stall/tires will get mid 12's as well.

I mean, it did for me at least in the AZ heat...

stock enigne - heads, cam, intake
stock injectors - 42# SVO
stock fuel pump - Walbro 255
only mod is a sts turbo at 4psi - up to about 5-7psi
bald tires going on metal - get some DR's or ET Streets

my recommendations are in bold print. also, get a 3000-3200 vertor and some 3.73s.

you will also need some suspension work in order to get the power to the ground. since you are FI, i would HIGHLY recommend SFC's if you want to keep your body from being tweaked (these are one of the first mods recommended for any fbody). also, a set of aftermarket LCA's will help out a lot too.

There are sooo many things i could say here. But im just gonna say traction is the key. Of course like,UNIT said, your car doesnt appear to be setup for the 1/4mi. Probably runs better from a roll. But to prove my point. My car with the ONLY mods. being 4.10s,Vigilante 3000,and Drag Radials ran 12.6s ALL DAY@107 but i was turning 1.74 60's. Thats why my trap speed was so low.It was setup for E.T. instead of MPH. Like the other guys said get some good tires and the supporting mods. to help your turbo setup out. Good Luck!

I saw a 2004 GTO 6M with a STS running 6psi with injectors, stock fuel pump and fast 78mm Intake with Nick Wiliams TB, kooks LT 1'7/8" no cats. He dynoed at 500rwhp with 532ft/tq. And on 275/40/18" 555nittos with polyurethane bushing in the whole suspension only ran 12.14@129mph 2.12 60ft in +80deg temps and middle Georgia humidity.
