I squeaked into the twelves by twelve thousandths - 12.988 @ 111.98 (I call this 112) I attribute my success to my devoted wife Antonia and to a 20 MPH tailwind at Infineon yesterday. I deeply respect twelves and if accorded the honor of club membership I promise to be loyal and stay off the juice and not entertain any vain hope of elevens. By that, I don’t mean to question the loyalty of others but let’s be realistic. Who will hold our banner higher, a guy like me, long mired in the thirteen second wilderness, who has struggled for some small measure of respect, or some dame who effortlessly cuts 12.2s in her Mercedes E55 wagon? I mean she obviously doesn’t care about us, she’s out for blood. I love the game. So Coach, sir, what’s it gonna be? Am I in or out? Just give it to me straight. I won’t beg.

At that MPH, you should run a little quicker than 12.988. You are a 12 second club member and your times should improve.
