Default 12.4

i got a 12.4 at 110.43 with 3.42 and my clutch slipping. What do you think i can get now that i have 4.11 in it. I know i can get better than my 1.85 60ft.

thanks

If you get much better then a 1.8 60' I can easily see you getting a 20 second time slip. That is when the 10 bolt breaks and you need a tow

But if the 10 bolt survives I don't see why a 12.1 isn't obtainable.

that has already happened. We went to the strip 3 weeks ago and with the 4.11 and new clutch, i got total hook up. I dont know if i even tripped the beam to start. LOL. What didn't help either is we went on a wed. night the pro cars were running and the track was prepared well.
It shattered the left axle, bent the splines on the right and took the posi with it. I now have moser axles and a T56 with a built Ford 9 and cal-tracs is coming in december during winter break from college.

I guess the time would be NA lol.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. But at least it will only happen once. A Ford 9 will be seeing hard launches for a long, long time.

i got it for free, but i have to put all the good stuff in it. What splines and and posi unit would you recommend. I am thinking about possibly getting a 2nd 3rd member and putting a spool in it for racing, but i want a posi for the street. i was thinking about the detroit locker for it.

thanks

Personally I like the detroit locker, 31 spline & 4.11 gear setup. For a M6 that sees alot of street this is a nice combo.

i just got back from the strip and it sucked. 13.7 at 106.5. The 4.11 actually hurt me, since i could not get traction. it feels like wheel hop. Next year the 9in and cal tracs will solve that problem. at least my father's 74 went 12.18 at 113.
