Default Should I hit 12's with a tune?

Ran my car in horrid heat last thursday at Carolina Dragway in Aiken, SC and she did pretty well I think. It's in my sig now but I ran a 13.2 both times down the track with a 2.0 60ft on the first one and 1.9 60ft on the second run. She's trapping 4 mph better than stock with mods I have listed in my sig. So do you guys think I'll run 12's with a tune. I know I can get a 13.1 out of it now if I had had a few more tries.

Wait till colder weather and throw some more mods on in the mean time - 3.73's, stall converter, Dr's and maybe some nitrous. Skip 12's and shoot for 11's!

What tires you rolling on? I'm thinkin your ET could be alot lower with your 104mph. Get some cold weather and shoot for 11s though. I ran 4 times this weekend, 14.06 at 102 was my best. But then again, my driving might be why my ET is so high compared to my mph. Good luck with getting the 11s though.

If you haven't had it tuned since the header install, you probably will go mid-high 12's +/-. A 3600 rpm converter will do it for sure. When my converter/tranny/tune goes in shortly I'll post the slips to prove it.

Better weather alone will put you in the 12.9-12.8 range. Do you have 3.23s?

Ya I do have 3.23s. I thought maybe the colder weather would help cause south carolina summers are hot and humid.
The tires I have seem to hook quite nice out of the hole. No spinning or chirping at all. It's a Riken Raptor 275/45ZR17 all the way around on the car. I can stall it as high as the stock converter will let me and it still won't spin out the hole which I love. Now on the street she gets a little sideways if I do that but the nice sticky track I go to...it's a hook and go.

id say get some 3.73's and a DR...but they you really nee to worry about the rearend...mine blew on the street with 3.73's, but its had a lot of hard driving on it...all my fault...i agree with the skip 12's and shoot for 11's...imo 12's isnt anything too impressive

ya but hitting low 12's with all motor and no gas is wut I would rather do. I know the car will run 11's with gas, stall and tires. Everybody knows that...but I'd much rather just do it the old fashioned way. That's just the way I am.

Stall is old fashioned, all motor. Think of it as revving to 3500rpm before slipping out the clutch vs. leaving at idle on a manual car. LS1's don't make a ton of power at 1500rpm.
