Default 1/8 to 1/4 mile conversion??

Does anybody believe these? I have heard 1.527 or 1.547.
If that is the case, my 8.19 1/8th time should be 12.50 or 12.66.

Best run was 8.13 but couldn't find that timeslip so I posted 8.19 for which I do have slip.

BTW, I went to BRADENTON track for a closed bachelor/run day party and ran a 13.1 with a smoked tranny (now fixed and BA)... they invited me not to come back with out a roll bar!!

use 1.56 or 1.57. Every car is different. Mine likes 1.57
Example my car: 6.084 X 1.57 = 9.55. Pretty close to the 9.56 I ran on that pass.

Unless you're spinning a lot out of the hole, 1.55-1.58 x 660' should give you an acceptable window to use. Mine is currently 1.568 but was 1.575 when the car was SI and taking off really well for its power. For 1.52-1.54 to work as a conversion you're going to really need to go out the end hard compared to the first 660'.

your car runs alot like my SS did back when it was a bolt-on car, and looking back at my timeslips, an 8.20 @87.75 run for me turned out to be a 12.66 @111.94. This was in a 6-spd car with the stock 3.42's, 16" Nitto's, lid, cutout, and free mods.

¼ Mile ET = (1/8 Mile ET + .22) / .655 8.19 1/8 = 12.83 1/4. according to this http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Tech...alculators.asp

Convertible = 5-point roll bar minimum req'd when running 13.49 to 11.00 in the 1/4, or 8.25 to 7.00 1/8 mile per the NHRA rulebook.

I say you just sneek into bradenton on a Thursday night. They don't even have tech on TnT nights. Whats the worst that can happen? You get told to slow down? thats always a good feeling.

Talking Thanks guys..

Just as I expected, there is no exact multiplier...every car is different. With my mods and gear(2.73) it feels like car is just starting to ape it when I trap the 660'. Hopefully, my 'seat of the pant' is correct and should run mid 12.
Think I'll take Magnets advise and take it back to the nearest 1/4 and see if they remember!
