Wink Into the 12's

9/23/07 muscle car race at the rock.

slip looked like this:

60'-2.012
330'-5.46
1/8-8.297
mph-86.64
1000'-10.718
1/4-12.774
mph-109.91

If I remember right, d/a was around 1200'. My 60' times are fairly consistent at around 2flat, where I struggle is the 330'times, they are sometimes as high as 5.7, its a fine line between a bog and a tire fire, but i'm figuring it out-the secret to these cars is keeping the revs up, without roasting the hides. But I guess that really isnt a secret. any way, I was happy to finally get the 12 second monkey off my back, as I have backed that run up with a 12.88, and several 12.90's. Now if I could only get that @#!*ing tree figured out, I might even win a round once in a while!

your trap speed shows your car to be faster than 12.77. my best was 12.75 at 108.96. you can get more outa that car. i also ran a 12.77 at 109.26 so i think your car will run better than 12.77

No, I dont powershift, I live 105 miles from the track, and I dont trailer the car, so I go pretty easy on it. I points race it as well, so I'm more concerned with consistency than with absolute minimum e.t.s for right now.

Amen, its easy enough to grenade a driveline going "easy" on it, I'll sacrifice a tenth to make sure I drive home at the end of the day!
BayareaSS-what are your mods, and when do you plan on getting to the track? keep us posted of your results.
