Default New best! 12's FINALLY!! Title change?

Well i went to the local track tonight..this was the first time at the track with the new transmission and stall. The temperature was in the mid to upper 50's...I made 3 passes..my best was a 12.57 @ 107.68 with a 1.73 60ft. My 1/8 mile time for that pass was a 7.99. My other 2 passes were both 12.6's @ 107. This was on BFG DR's...with the mods in my sig. The only weight i took out of the car was the spare tire/jack. Man i'm so pumped right now. I've had this car for like 6 years now and finally got into the 12's lol..I could tell the stall made a huge difference..but i didnt think it was gonna be that much. Either way..if a mod reads this could you change my title??..thanks.

Well, ill be the 1st to congratulate ya.. Nice runs. Thats about what I ran when I had the mods you got.

If you can lower that 60' and get in the 1.6X range, you should drop off another .10 - .20.. Did you take off your front sway bar? I know it helped me.

No i still had the front sway bar on..It didnt really feel like i spun..but i dont know, maybe it did and i just couldnt feel it. Would there be any advantage to taking the sway bar off if i didnt spin?? Besides the small weight savings from not having the sway bar. Thanks for the advice..

Yeah taking the front swaybar off will help with the weight transfer to the rear and help plant all of your power better. Even if you didn't spin it will help. If you don't wanna take it all of the way off, taking the end links off and leaving the bar attached to the car will help alot too. But no matter what good luck next time.
