Default Cam only LQ9/LQ4 Numbers

Well I just got back from getting my cam only 6.0 dynoed and tuned. It has a 232/238 .599 113LSA cam in it with full bolt on's and a 3600 vig stall. It put down 383rwhp and 389 trq still using LS1 intake. Do these number's sound good thru a stall and a 12bolt?

Not 100% sure as the guy that had the motor installed claims it came out of an escalade which would make it a LQ9. Im not taking the head's off just to find out, lol. Remeber this was with stock throttle body, a LS1 intake not ls6, with a single exhaust, no free mod's done pretty much just lid and exhaust and a cam with a 3600 stall. Does anyone know if there's a block casting to tell them apart, I have searched with no luck.

i don't know any way to tell besides the "feel" method which seems to be hit or miss at best. i'm doing a lq9 but i'm hoping for a bit more than 390rwhp. what heads are on it(317's)?

well the mustang dyno def makes a difference. it sounds like you have a solid foundation. how does it feel compared to the 346? i'm assuming the torque must be a blast. congrats man

It feel's like its always in a sweet spot in comparison to the 346. It pull's much harder from a dig and in the mid range but in the top end isn't what I actually expected.

the heads are being done by what alot of people consider to be one of the best. they are getting a nice VJ blended with some bowl and chamber work. the runners are unported. the motor will be just over 11:1. i've been told by a few people that 440 should be possible. i'll be dropping it in soon so i guess i'll find out

by the way who did your tuning? i gotta think if you had an ls6 intake you would be close to 400 with less compression and stock heads

Simple Quick Racing on of the best tuner's in our area for the LS1 crowd. I think true duals would surley help out a bit too. I just got thru porting the stock throttle body and im waiting for my LS6 intake to be shipped.Im thinking about doing 243 head's to get my compression ratio a little higher. It's gonna be sprayed on so it should do real good or at least I hope it will.
