Synthetics.

5-30 Mobile One - Tight builds
20-50 Royal Purple - Loose builds

What kind of psi do you see across the RPM band with that 10,40?

Royal Purple is garbage in my opinion and I can provide facts if need be. It started out pretty good but has since been surpassed by some of the cheapest oils on the market.

There's so many "oil" threads already. Try the search sometime. There's also a lot of GOOD info on oil on bobstheoilguy.

what is the big deal, this is a forum right. he asked a stupid question, if you dont like it dont look at it. there is a million exhaust questions that ask the same question over and over. and besides products do change, or get improved upon every year.
and for the op, right now i am using mobil one 10w 30 with there filter it was on sale. i usually dont like to change the brand of filter i use, but when money is tight.

Ive used just about every synthetic(even bought into the amsoil thing for a change lol) but the last few changes have been w/ Q horsepower...only 20 bucks at walmart for 5 quarts and there reviews are good. i only use full synthetics in the Z...when i bought the car last year it had a little oil leak...after a few changes the leak was gone...im a believer that it helps the seals, etc.

Why the hell did you just post my info? LOL... If he asked a "stupid" question then why are you making a BIG deal over it? Wash the sand out of your vagina! I'm simply telling him to do a search before making another 104590345389454 thread about oil. I didn't come off rude to the thread starter so STFU and relax

Edit: This is also the wrong section to post about oil

Well, I used to use that European German Castrol oil but they don't have that here in ENGLAND, which is part of Europe....lol. However, they do have Mobil One European oil, 0W-40. I'll be using that in place of it.

Anyone have any experience or information on Shell Rotella T6 Full Synthetic 5W-40?? I know some guys run conventional 15W-40 Rotella in their engines, but its much too viscous for anything other than racing applications, and its not suitable for winter.

From what I've read, T6 Synthetic 5W-40 has much more zinc and anti-wear additives than regular gasoline oil, which is why it may be beneficial to use it in our engines.

Currently I run Mobil 1 Extended Performance Full Synthetic or Valvoline Synpower.
