Default anyone try out the GM flip key ?

nevermind, even if you got the keyless entry to work the ignition key is the wrong pattern

they make them for vettes but it doesnt look like the ignition key is the same either. vettes use the same wireless remote, this vette one actually has you put the factory guts into the new remote

its on ebay, search for "chevy flip key". however like i said im not sure if it would work, it looks like it should tho once you get the key cut and disable the VATS system

they are like $40

on second thought im not sure if the key dimensions are the same.

How would this work with Keyless Entry? You program the new remote or something?

Yes, you can buy any GM keyfob technically and have the dealer reprogram it and it will work just fine.

At first I was going to say it won't work because the first pic is Pass Key III, but the vette pics posted are for the Pass Key II system that F-bodies have, so in get one of those remotes and it will work once reprogrammed.

Its actually really easy to reprogram the key fob. Pull the radio fuse, turn the key to the on position and back 3 times and hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the remote.

with the vette one i posted they come empty, so you actually put the guts of your factory key FOB into them. i was excited about the vette one at first because they are made for the c5, which uses the same remote, but it looks like the key patter itself wouldnt support cutting an acceptable fbody key

yeah that one looks like its a full remote, if not you could just swap the guts, but im still pretty sure the blade is the wrong key pattern. you would need to see if they could cut either that malibu key i posted in the first post into an fbody key, or if that vette key could be cut to the right dimenstions

Hmm, my Viper keyfob is identical to the ones that were on the T/A, I wonder if they program the same? That'd be sweet.

i would ask if the key part itself would work in an fbody. the corvette key is a bit different, its double sided where as the fbody has a flat side. i would email them and ask if there is any way to get the key part to work with an fbody
