C1 should be blue C2 should be red verify by comparing the wire colors to the proper pin outs.

Yep. Some '05 5.3L motors use the E40 ECM like the one I'm installing in my Jeep now.

I think i used this one for my 2000 pcm. I didn't even know what year is was until i down loaded the tune. Yours should be close, just use common sense. Many of the wires are easy to figure out on your own by the plugs. Cam, crank, tps, iac plugs etc. If your color does not match then rethink it.

I don't use all the plugs & fuse block. I cut all that off & wire up my own set up. 15 amp each +12v for bank one & two coils, 15 amp each +12v for bank one & two injectors, a few other power & grounds & it will run.

Ok it is now 2015 and this information is still useful :-)
have had the 5.3 in a '87 T-Top LS Monte Carlo and just getting to the A/C - it is important to run the A/C through the PCM to avoid over pressure and have A/C compressor clutch off at WOT. Thanks to all who posted here. going to upload some additional content because the wire descriptions are the same, but the pin location is different from 2000 and 2007 - 2008 to 2012 then again 2013 to 2017. LT1swap has a lot of good information there. People who buy ready made harnesses really miss out because when something goes wrong the intimate knowledge of how it all works is missing and then they are stuck. Kudos to all posting here.
