Default 13.4 1/4 mile with 2.73 what about 3.73 ?

I have a 98 LS1 automatic camaro and I ran a 1/4 mile time of 13.4 @108 mph with 2.73 gears and my stock tires. What would I run now with 3.73 gears and sticky tires?

What other mods did you have when you ran the 13.4? You will be in the 12's I would bet after the gears and sticky tires

You will be lucky to pick up .2... The sticky tires should help if you were spinning, if you weren't spinning it isn't going to help any of course. I would say 13.0-13.2.

If you want a nice ET reduction for the money, get a converter.

Well ,I went and I was kicked out .My helmet didnt meet the snell specs for faster than 13.99 . The tech inspector said I could do 1 full run only.
On my run, I didnt even get it up on the converter .As soon as I staged ,the tree started .Hooked ok in 1st ,it spun a little when it shifted into 2nd .LOOOONG *** chirp ..

Previous best with catback, SLP lid and 273 (A4)
-600 D/A
R/T -.186 ( sleeping )
60 - 2.04 ( dead hook )
1/8 - 8.8
1/4 - 13.49 @104.3

Tonight w/ same + 373's ,m/o tune and drag radials.(heavier ZR1 17"OE wheels )
-85 D/A
R/T - .177 ( still sleeping )
60 - 1.97
1/8 - 8.4
1/4 - 13.16 @106.5 mph

I know I could of bettered that if I could of had another shot . It was getting colder out and I would of launched harder .
Ill never find out .. Im installing my Yank SS4000 stall next week

FasteddieZ...

Good times, sounds about right for the mods. My car with just a lid went 13.2.
Then I did headers, longtubes, catback, 3.73, nittos, and a preditor tune, and went dead nuts consistent 12.5 at 112.

Just go to pep boys and get one of their cheap *** helmets that they sell and it will be good enough.

Doesn't matter what your R/T is... Your slip will read exactly the time.. Take your time next time you stage, don't even pay attention to the green light.

if i may chime in , the trans is built for abuse. we just didnt like the way it drove with the stall. with the above mods, LT, Lid,3.73's, and some stickies im sure this will run 12.8-12.9. people at sac with the same mods run this in their ls1 fbodies. we raced the car in the street and it burned 1,2,3, and then finally caught traction. i think its a good runner and will do good for the mods it has.
