Default eps 236/248 cam

im looking to get a eps cam in my 383. i previously had the ms3 and want something a little bigger and little more choppy. has anybody ever ran this cam? how do you like it or how would it perform with my setup? 1 7/8 headers, 243 heads, ls6 intake, uderdrive pulley and a 200 shot of spray. any vids of this cam? also what other cams would you reccomend for me that is bigger and more choppy then the ms3?

You're not going to find a lot of info on that cam yet since Geoff's designs are still fairly new. He makes good stuff and spec's cams out the right way rather than the "lets throw this together and see if it works" approach, so I think you'll be fine.

Let Geoff or Patrick g spec you a cam. Don't just throw something in it.

i agree go to the people who have proven themselves in making and grinding cams that perform. Ed Curtis should be on that list also.

Yeah Pat G spec'd me a "small" cam. I got the specs and thought, "oh I need a bigger cam than that!" It's hard not to get caught up in the bigger is better. I can't wait to order it and get it in the car.

You are going to have a hard time finding a better cam than that.

um, Geoff is the owner of eps, that's one of his grinds. That's his "t-rex killer"

Pat is still learning, but he's getting better.

I've got my own custom grind. I call it "the stick snapper." Very similar to Geoff's cam. I was very surprised to see someone else "get it" too.

I would like to find out, too. I've been thinking about a bigger cam for my 383. What I like about the EPS cams is that they are less noisy compared to others. That's a key selling point to me.

He sent me a 226/234 on a 111+3 but I DD my car and dont see much of the strip anymore. I had run the MS3 and the vindicator(240/244) for a while. I may use the vindicator in a stroker soon but for my street car I know I will be happy with this grind. I had PRC 2.5 LS6 heads and now switching to TF220s. Be a while before it gets tuned and on the street.

Not everyone is going to agree with you. That's the beauty of this site. Nothing is taken personal and everyone gives their opinion depending on their experiences. I run one of his cams and I am happy with the results. New numbers soon after the N20 install i just did.

With that big of a cam in a 383 rear gears would have to be deep whether 6 spd or auto and with an auto 4000+ stall.
